a very late birthday haul

hola mi chikitas,
so my birthday comes in may and its July now. if your wondering why such a late haul, let me explain. well i happen to live India ( yes please, don't get bored yet hold on ). i also happen to be a college student ( an undergrad studying something related to biotech/pharma ... no no no don't leave yet ). and my college follows a semester pattern (trying to get to the point.. must stop rambling). and if you have been there , done that then you may very well know that , semester exams last whole month long ( yesss now its off my chest ) . so my birthday fell before the beginning of the exams .
so after my exams got over , i tagged to one my favorite beauty shopping destinations..........CRAWFORD MARKET, CST , MUMBAI.( yeah i know big deal.... but for a suburb girl like me it is  a very big one). it has two places beauty palace and beauty center close to each other . for my yearly beauty shopping trips , i prefer those places because they multiple brands covering all hair , skin , makeup arenas under one roof..

my previous shopping trip was last year . and it was my birthday then too.

who's excited to see what i got ???? hands up in the air ( okay not so much, you will hit the roof... hehehe )

doesn't this sight make you feel just happy ????

1. MATRIX fortifying shampoo and deep smoothing conditioner:-
(400 ml and 196 g respectively)( 355inr and 295inr, i got both at 550 inr with discount at beauty center)these are the largest sizes available.you can call this duo my hg hair duo. i have tried several shampoos and conditioner combos form various brands and even Matrix themselves, but nothing beats it . every time i do something stupid and ruin my hair , i come running to this . best smelling hair care ever. just like the standard head and shoulders , i need to have it in my shower at all times. this is one of the few hair luxuries i actually allow myself.

VEGA professional makeup brushes:-
1.angular blender(200 inr)
2.eyeshadow(250 inr)
3.buffer brush(450 inr)
kinda expensive part of the overall haul. i just randomly decided that i needed new brushes when i passed the VEGA counter. i picked up the ones that caught my fancy. now way in hell am i passing up an opportunity to buy professional brushes.  do own the normal Vega ones. but these are in a way different league( as in better)but it made me feel a bit guilty about being disloyal to my beloved real techniques brushes. guess these new ones could keep them company and they would be brush bffs frolicking in the pink sand of the clouds amongst unicorns( ahem ahem , you don't like UNICORNS.what is wrong with you o_0 )

JOVEES Tea Tree oil control face wash (115inr)
JOVEES anti blemish pigmentation face mask(195 inr)
i Had never tried anything from jovees before. the face wash is for college use. and the face pack because the s.a recommended it for my acne scars. its supposed to give a glow. lets see

INCOLOR glimmer blusher:- NO 19 (i guess around 200 inr but i got it for 175 inr)
this is supposed to be a dupe for MAC's stereo rose which i haven't seen in person. i didn't know this when i bought it. i don't personally like baked blushes, eyeshadows etc  due to their inherent grittiness. but the soft focus coral shimmer won me over. so so pretty. sadly my picture does it no justice.

KRYOLAN IKONIC GEL LINER PENCIL :-violet gem (180 inr)
the blogosphere is abuzz with these beauties. thankfully i could snag one of the prettier shades.
KRYOLAN EYESHADOW DARK BROWN (350 inr)
if you follow me around, you know how much i love meself some krylon . after the success with blush in T1, i decided to get my hands on something to contour my flabby cheeks. the s.a was super knowledgeable and recommended that i start out with a powder eyeshadow till i get a hang of things. the shade isn't as dark as it appears in the picture.
KRYOLAN ULTRA FOUNDATION REFILL OB2(300 inr)
i got this as a undereye and spot concealor. the s.a matched the shade perfectly. despite being full coverage foundation, i loved how light it felt on the undereyes. a slight peachy tone for negating dark circle. loving it.

MAYBELLINE DIAMOND GLOW EYESHADOW - 01 COPPER BROWN( 475 INR)
MAYBELLINE WATERSHINE LIQUID GLOSS- CARAMEL CREAM(210 inr)
can you believe it despite using maybelline for so many years i had never tried their glosses or powder eyeshadow? not even the original quads. these shimmery ones are the only ones available now. i stuck to safer n*de colours for college etc.

SCARLET LINE VELCRO ROLLERS:- (40 INR)
i have poker straight , fine but lots of hair. i m hoping these will make some difference. if they do , i will go ahead and buy bigger ones. ain't the purrrple prrrrettty?

LACTO CALAMINE SUN SHIELD SPF 30 pa ++( 199 inr)
lactocalamine is synonymous with being the first base makeup for many Indian women. i am no exception. i still religiously use it. they came out with sunscreens this Summer with decent SPF rating. two variants are available- for oily to normal and normal to dry. i chose the oily version . this stays in my college bag as i leave home applying the lotus matte sunscreen spf40.

FACES CANADA STACKABLE PIGMENTS in WILD( 699 INR)
i love using pigments, despite all their drawbacks. maybe more than eyeshadows at times. the beautiful shades and the versatility win me over every time. i succumbed and got this beauty. plus it doesn't hurt that this is stackable. i am not going to lose these. ( not that i have lost... just saying)

LAKME ROSE POWDER 02WARM PINK ( 100 INR)
LAKME PERFECT RADIANCE COMPACT 03 GOLDEN MEDIUM (170 INR)
if you have oily skin then you need the lakme rose powder . cheapest and best on the market .
the compact is again for my college bag. nothing special , standard stuff.

VOV SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM IN 01, 05, 11( 75 INR EACH)
i saved the best for the last . these are dupes for the nyx matte lipcreams . and they smell like fresh vanilla muffins. i got three to test out the shade range and i am planning to get more. :)

hope you all enjoyed my crazy haul. if you would like me to review any of the above. let me know in the comments below.

love ,
vj

p.s:-

5 things i m loving at the moment:-
1. the rains, cooler climes , romantic weather
2. fuk fuk fukrey - just watched it with friends... bholi panjaban rockssss
3.vacationsss yayyyyyy
4.a large bowl of super cheesy home made mac n cheese
5. did i say vavctions.. oh yeah i did.... then it has to be the long hours i get to spend doing my favorite activity ... napping (hehehe)

3 things i m not loving
1. falling rupee rate... bye bye firangi makeup (boohooohooo) for the time being
2.people hitting other people( me) with umbrellas in the eye or elsewhere when walking in the streets.
3.super oily skin and frizzy hair due to increasing humidity .

share what you like and don't like in the comments below. i so love reading such stuff. maybe we can gossip about it too ( wink wink)

Save Our Skins :- Lakme intense whitening

hello everyone,
quick skincare review here. so this is what has been saving my sin this summer . i bought the lakme intense whitening night cream is the winters but stopped using it due to the dryness and sensitivity i was experiencing due to the effects of topical retinoids.

price :- inr 299 for 50 g

packaging:-

the packaging is standard as is with all other perfect radiance products . white with pink and silver accents .this comes in a jar with a screw top. not very hygienic. i use it with a sanitized ice cream spoon.

ingredients:- the list is considerably huge . please click on the picture to read .

what it claims:-
wake up to visibly radiant skin with Lakmé Perfect Radiance NightRepair Crème. Renew and repair with Chronosphere Vitazyme C & Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) at night when your skin's renewal process is at its peak. This lightweight creme leaves no residue leaving your skin smooth and radiant.

 my few pennies:-

it may be a cream but the texture is more akin to a gel that turns to lotion upon blending in . this makes the cream wonderful to use unlike some very heavy creams which are very difficult to blend.
this has a fragrance and it made my skin tingle at least fro 2 minutes when i applied the cream .

what it did:-
  •  this reduced my overall face oiliness within 2 weeks.
  •  lightened my acne scars.
  •  reduced discolourations
  • extensively removed tanning from my forehead and nose.
  • my skin upreared brighter the next morning.
what it didn't do :-
make my skin any whiter or lighter . i wasn't expecting it to.

thus , all in all IT WORKS.
it kicked ass of a 2300 inr cream that is extensively promoted by stars as well as bloggers. i wont mention which. guesses welcome in the comments below.

rating:- 4/5
one deducted for lots of chemical ingredients and jar packaging.
i have found my Hg night cream. have you ?
let me know in the comments below.

love,
vj

PS:- the rains are literally lashing India... loving it or loathing it ?

CAUTION:-
before using any skin care product be sure to consult your dermatologist or your gp . user's discretion advised .since the product  worked on someone's skin it may not mean that it might work on other skins too.

new box on the horizon - lets take a look at the Vellvette Box

hola mi chikitas,
i know i am so late on the velvette box horizon and all of you must be like meh , i know whats in all boxes etc etc . but please stay with me for a while . after all the sample subscription box debacle , it would be an epiphany to say that i was excited about this one.
i don't wish to bore you guys and lose half the people with the story but anyways , when was i the one who gave up an opportunity to ramble? it happened thus that after all the hoopla with the blisscovered box ( 1st month) , i decided to order it for the next month ( being ever forgetful i cant precisely remember the months).
well ,the box never arrived. and after waiting about three weeks or so , i get a mail . it says why did i not accept the box when it arrived or pay for it. HULLO ! the box never arrived what was i supposed to pay for or accept ! it also kind of reprimanded that i should not do this in the future and they hoped to serve me in the future. hah! i doubt they would ever get a chance to ' serve' me again. and within a month blisscovered folded.
and then the great glossybox debacle! glossybox india will never live that one down , not for the next 100 years at least. some beauty bloggers received a p.r sample box and the whole blogosphere went frothing-at-the-mouth gaga over glossybox. soon people were waiting for the launch and lining up to book there boxes. some bloggers ran giveaways feauturing the box itself. but hardly did they know , that glossybox kind of made a fool of everyone. i won ankita from coralista's giveaway and the box never arrived. it was pathetic on glossybox's part. but i was later informed that i was going to get a jabong voucher worth 2000/- which never came as well :(
so glossybox you cheated us poor girls. *booo*
ritzbox , lushbox never came.

Now, coming to the vellvette box. sorelle grapevine's review of the vellvette box piqued my curiosity. i decided to check out the site and was impressed. since c.o.d was available,i decided to book the box.
nothing would be lost, if it never arrived!

And , arrive it did in a sturdy classy black box ( if you know me , you know my black box obsession well), covered in pretty pink paper. i usually detest all things pink but this was a perfectly , perfect adorable shade of pink.tons and tons of vouchers for full size but they aren't worth much . and i don't plan to buy anything full size soon. *sigh* they are till 31st Oct only so no use to me. the best part , though it took a week to arrive , the customer care was cordial , warm and polite . full points for excellent customer service. some places could take a lesson *ahem ahem*

just one note before anything else- these are my first ever high end products . they may just be samples but they mean the world to me .

finally whats in my box:-
  • clinique lipgloss in fireberry and lipstick in raspberry glace - now this one is the prettiest duo i have ever come across. the mini lipstick reminds me of the samplers avon and oriflame used to handout a few years back . however , it doesn't swivel down completely and the swivel is a bit loose, so you need to be careful with this one. the lipgloss is almost as good as full size with a doe foot applicator. lipgloss full size ( 6.5ml)= 1300/- inr ; lipstick full size(4 g )=1300/-
  • L'Occitane pivoine flora shower gel- this lil champ makes my whole shelf smell like a garden of roses. i am allergic to anything rose-y smelling. even dabur gulabari makes me want to upchuck in a rather unappetizing way. however, this doesn't smell synthetic at all. fresh roses, that's it. if i ever save up that much , i will be sure to buy a full size of it. this is a very generous sized sampler btw. full size(250ml)=1095/-inr
  • clarins pure melt cleansing gel- makeup removing oils , facial oils seem to be having their spot in the sunshine it seems. like an oil it is to be applied to dry skin and unlike oil, it is a gel ( obvious in the name isn't it? silly me). imma very curious. but haven't tried it yet. waiting for my skin to calm down from my past flareups. full size(125ml)=1450/- inr
  • the bonus:-Guess seductive- i'm yours - yes guess seductive- i am yours. i m smitten . i m in love with you. so much so that i take you out of your tiny container and sniff you at the oddest times. but i don't spray you for the fear of wasting your precious essence.you are mine . my precious ( weird sheldon accent - get the big bang theory joke? no ? sad ) it just smells divine . so my kind of scent. dark, woodsy and musky. perfect combo. not too floral ( i know i must stop now , too bad at describing fragrances.) full size (30ml;50ml;75ml)=1790;2490;2990 inr
if you count the lipstick and lipgloss separate i have received 5 products instead of the three promised. ME LIKEY! totally worth the 399/- inr.these are just my first views. detailed reviews may come later. so far i am really happy with my box. the velvette box has managed to sweeten the bitter taste left by other boxes. i very saddened to hear that the October bookings are full . so i am pitching out for the Nov box. money well spent .

have you tried sample subscription boxes before? whats your take on them ? do like them? do you loathe them?

let me know in the comments below!!

much love,
vj

p.s:- i just read a post by blisscovered on their fb page saying they are back from their hiatus. some accessory stuff blah blah and they will be starting the sample subscription again . any takers?

p.p.s:- i have a got a big new coming up .  stay tuned!!!!!!!!!

disclaimer:-i did not receive any voucher etc to shop. all the above products have been bought by my own hard earned money .my loyalty lies to my readers i have nothing to disclose.thank you very much.

vlcc gold scrub review and swatches

hello girls,
come monsoons and my skin starts acting like a petulant child. in winters , its excellent . in summers, a teeny tiny bit okay. arghhhhh the horror of rains. the humidity , the stickiness and the unpredictable atmosphere leads to my face looking like a oil slick and you know the rest of the tale how oily skin can lead to all sorts of skin problems etc etc . so popping a new pimple or blackhead every week and having a skin as dull as a barren desert is a common occurrence for me.
this year however, the cycle changed. thanks to the below product.
VLCC GOLD SCRUB
price:- 135 inr but i got it for 110/- at a local shop at a discount.
net wt:-  70g / 2.46oz
best before 36 months from manufacture
so it comes to 0.51 g per 1 re which is good IMHO.

PACKAGING:-

a very basic plastic tube with a flip cap, nothing very exciting.its got gold and yellow accents allover ,not my favourite colours.but its transparent in some places so you can tell how much product you have left and when do you need a new tube, which i like. despite it being a scrub, it doesn't get clogged around the hole and squeezes out nicely, even after months of use.

WHAT VLCC SAYS ABOUT THIS :-
exposure to environmental factors like pollution and dust make skin look dull and lifeless.this unique scrub, enriched with 24 carat pure gold, turmeric, and sandalwood , has a deep pore cleansing action that gently exfoliates dead skin cells, superficial white and black heads . it leaves skin fresh and glowing with a radiant complexion.

INGREDIENTS:-
extracts of aloe vera, sandalwood , raisin, turmeric, gold leaf , xanthan gum , dimethicone, triclosan and vitamin E.

DIRECTIONS:-
take an appropriate amount of scrub and apply all over face and neck with wet fingertips. scrub for a few minutes with circular and outward strokes to exfoliate impurities. rinse thoroughly.

MY FEW PENNIES :-

after finishing off my trusty olivia facial scrub ( yes its good and no olivia doesn't just make bleaches), i was scouring high and low for a new decent scrub ( read: inexpensive). i decided to try out a local cosmetics and novelty store ( tehhheeeehee...... yes i do live in a city with such shops and big, pushy aunties for s.a's ). she recommended that this will make me glow like 24 k gold. since it was light on the wallet what-the-heck right?

Let me clear this , it is a mild scrub , a very very very mild one. even my avon tea tree facewash is more grainier.as you can see from the swatches , the particles are few and very far in between. also it has golden, shimmery specks and larger Styrofoam-ish gold painted pieces. it is a pale yellow coloured semi liquid product. not too runny that is flows away and not too thick that it will clog the tube ( everyuth face scrubs do that ) . it does have a very strong ,artificial fragrance that lingers sometime after washing. it stings eyes painfully in case it gets into the eye :(

now the great part. its perfect for my dry cheeks, oily t-zone combo skin. i have many breakouts from being on medication for the past several months. this doesn't harm , burst or increase them . i do not have significant blackheads, hence cant comment on that . nut yes, it works to clear my whiteheads decently.it doesn't leave my skin dry and stretchy even though it does foam up. people blessed with normal or oily skins can use this pretty much everyday . but i try not to do that, OVER EXFOLIATION CAN MAKE YOUR SKIN SENSITIVE!!!

finally , THE BEST PART  *drumrolll*. it makes my skin GLOW . if you follow my blog , you might know how much i am obsessed with GLOW. and you will be pleased to know unlike a fake 2 hr glow, this kind of radiance actually lasts. i am almost tempted to try other products from the gold range for this very reason .

tip of the day :- if for an event in order to ensure the best makeup application scrub your skin prior to applying makeup and rub an icecube over the face. the makeup goes on smoothly and stays fresh for a long time :)

do i like it :- YES .

will i repurchase:- NO. i am still searching for and H.G face scrub . so please do recommend in the comments below !

will i recommend it :- YES. to people with sensitive skins or acne prone. and also ones on the lookout for inexpensive scrub for daily use. particularly for tired and dull skin .

rating3.5/5 . deducted for incomplete ingredient list and presence of silicones :( and lack of real gold  (w.t.h am i expecting in 110 bucks .... heheheh )

note:- the above reviewed product works for me may not mean it may work for you as well. caution should be maintained before and while using the product. discretion advised .

purge update- week 1

if you have been following this blog then you might know that i am on a purge of makeup and skincare .'
to know all about what is purge and what do to and if you want to join ....just click the link here.
so lets get on with it.
this is week one
and the are the products i managed to FINISH.,,,( whew...that was so hard )
jokes apart, it indeed was difficult to stay on track with the products that i had to finish . with so many temptations around i was totally like a magpie . u know shiny stuff attracts the eye . in case , u didn't know what an magpie was ... here is it
http://www2.imperial.ac.uk/blog/studentblogs/louisa/2009/11/29/about-magpie/

and so i blabber !

coming to the topic

PRODUCTS I FINISHED IN WEEK 1

fabindia citrus lemon body wash
  • FABINDIA CITRUS LEMON BODY WASH:-
love it. i used it all up in the summer months . very refreshing in the morning . kinda zingy too. need body wash suggestions . would love to hear your choices!

Himalaya cleansing milk
  • HIMALAYA DEEP CLEANSING MILK :-
everyone knows it . everyone loves it. just a basic cleansing milk. the packaging has changed now . this was an old bottle nearing its expiry date . so had to finish it off. couldn't throw it just ainvayi that would have been just bad (tsk...tsk)

vov liquid eyeliner
  • VOV LIQUID EYELINER:-
my first ever black liquid eyeliner . not waterproof or resistant . just jet black. it has a felt tip brush and a cute bottle. however, the brush was a bit thick . suitable for thick dramatic looks only . on a daily basis i used a thin art store brush for lining - camel 00 to be precise. and 90 bucks i m cheap and sweet on that baby !

cetaphil cleansing lotion
  • CETAPHIL CLEANSING LOTION:-
sorry my bottle looks a bit botched . this is because i keep it in my bathroom . this one needs no introductions at all . no matter what i am keeping backups of it even if i am stuck in Honolulu.

lotus basiltone toner
  • LOTUS BASILTONE TONER:-
i was so sad because this one finished . i almost spent half a day mourning . this is the best toner for combination sensitive oily skin and a great face freshener too . i considered using my mum's Himalaya refreshing toner for some time . but , the smell reminded me why i hate it in the first place. thankfully i have got a bottle of aroma magic skin toner for oily skin stashed . will start using it this week .

vaadi anti acne cream
  • VAADI ANTI ACNE CREAM:-
HATE IT. i bought it literally as a joke from urban touch . i mean how can you expect some good anti acne stuff for just 50 inr? it was thick . too fragrant . and just sat on my skin made it burn and gave me breakouts instead of clearing them. i  finally finished it off by using it as a massage cream in my home facial routine . please don't buy this ever , even as a joke .

avon simply pretty whitening pressed powder in natural

avon simply pretty whitening pressed powder in natural
  • AVON SIMPLY PRETTY WHITENING PRESSED POWDER IN NATURAL :-
cheap and good. almost comparable to maybelline whitestay uv compact . the shade was a bit darker for me and a bit redder too . but it worked well in the time that i was tanned . has spf too. decent product but i wont buy it again .

NOW A PURCHASE I MADE THIS WEEK :-

this bottle looks so much better than the one that i finished .  loveeeee it !

hope u liked this post . if you would like to suggest some changes or just let me know what do u think about the purge , do comment .
have you ever done anything like this ?
i would love to hear about it .

please comment, rate , follow , subscribe . it means the world to me ...

love,
vj

Aroma Magic Glow face pack review

hello guys ,
i am back with  review !
this time its the Glow face pack from aroma magic by Blossom Kochhar.
come summers dont we all beauties need a bit G_L_O_W (said the way Kareena Kapoor says it ins the boroplus sunscreen ad GLOW...hehhe) . Aroma Magic has been making quite a few waves here in the blogosphere.
you must have seen it in my haul post here.
as i mentioned there , i had bought this for my mum and me . however , sadly i could not use it as my skin is going througha very sensitive , acne prone and allergic phase due to the summers . so this review is going to be from my mum's perspective.
so lets get on with it ................
COST:- RS. 215 /-
NET WT:- 35g
ie 6.14 rs per g
use before 2 yrs from manufacturing.

what does the company claim:-
An instant face lifting and firming treatment that helps sagging and ageing skin.Regular use gives the skin lasting firmness and resilience. Also removes lines, wrinkles, blemishes and improves skin colour and texture . leaves your face looking years younger

directions for use :-
mix a tsp of pack with aroma magic fairy lotion or with aroma magic skin toner( upcoming review) to make a paste. apply evenly on face and neck and around the eyes ( oh really........ i guess i was told not to put any face pack near my eye contour). allow it to dry and rinse after 20 mins !

Active Ingredients:-
Natural herbs ( which ones..o_0), Aloe Vera, Manjistha,Bach,Manjuphal,Orange peel and Mineral clays ( again the same question.... which ones o_0)

my thoughts(also my mum's):-
let me admit, i bought this on a whim . i thought it might work for my skin as well . sadly, my 19 yr old oily, allergic skin doesn't like it and care for it much .however, my 47yr old mother experienced dramatically different results.
it comes in a usual white and red aroma magic tub and comes in the form of a brown powder ,as you can see above, packed in individual packets . you get 7 such packets .it doesn't have any noticeable fragrance except a particularly herby one unless you stick your nose in it .
how i use it:-
i mixed approx 1 tsp i.e half a single packet with  a table spoon of curd(home made ) . lactic acid in the curd help in removal of dead skin cell, cell renewal and prevent microbial activity by altering the ph on the skin ( source : me ..... it pays studying biology you know :D).
its quite an airy powder ( if you get what i m saying ...... please say yes ). so the quantity is enogh for whole  face and neck. it forms a paste as shown below .

i put it on my mum's face and left it on till it got semi dry and washed it with warm water ( she did the washing part).

TIP:- FOR ANYONE WITH A DRY SKIN OR AGEING SKIN OR GENERALLY THIN SKIN , ALWAYS APPLY AVERY THIN LAYER OF ANY MASK AND WASH IT AFTER ITS SEMI DRY INSTEAD OF IT GETTING COMPLETELY DRY . THIS PREVENTS OVER DRYING OF FACE AND ALSO PREVENTS ANY ALLERGIC REACTION FROM OCCURRING ( my dermat gave me this tip ... hehe ).
it turns into a granulated paste on application , has kind of coarse particles in it. may be good or bad depending on your skin , mild or heavy exfoliation !

what me mumsy thinks about it( she's going to probably muder me for clling her mumsy):-
she said that her skin felt soft( it indeed did). exfoliation was kinda k . she did feel a tightening effect when the pack was on . however , after 2 hrs it vanished . the GLOW stayed on for about a day or so. we need to try it on a bit more for the long term effects to be visible. she finds the price exorbitant though .she scolded me abit for wasting money on unwanted and useless products and stated that her besan and multani mitti masks are the best ( more on that at a later date) . you know the general tendency of mums .

now the crux of it

PROS:-
  1. gives a temporary glow.
  2. is herbal .
  3. doesn't have a strong herbal scent despite being an aroma magic product
  4. skin feels tighter after use.
  5. cheaper than several other anti ageing face masks in the market.
  6. easily available either at cosmetic stores or even online .
  7. provides exfoliation .
  8. reduces redness and plumps skin temporarily
CONS:-
  1. no long terms effects
  2. full ingredient list not mentioned( that's the thing i hate about several herbal brands)
  3. might be costly for some
  4. availability might be a issue
  5. may cause allergic reactions ( undisclosed complete ingredient list)
  6. tingles a bit
  7. doesn't do everything it claims .
RATING:-
3 ON 5......... an average meh kinda product.

LAST WORD :-
i would not personally recommend it . there are several better products available in the market . i wont surely buy it again .

CAUTION:-
before using any skin care product be sure to consult your dermatologist or your gp . user's discretion advised .since the product  worked on someone's skin it may not mean that it might work on other skins too.

until the next time.
buh- bye ,
take care
much love,
vj

my teeny tiny birthday haul!!!!!!!!

so today was my birthday and with my darling friend and fellow bb gal bhumika sajnani , i went shoppingggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we went to Crawford market at c.s.t , Mumbai to two very special places called beauty centre and beauty palace.
best thing about them all makeup and skincare brands under the sun- local and international are available here.
so read on to know what i shopped ( i know  i am bragging now.....so i will shut up )
enjoy the pics

my whole haul

divo paddle bush
i needed a new hair brush badly and a paddle brush was my choice . i bought the one from divo as i had heard good things about it . plus the s.a praised it.

aroma magic glow face pack and skin toner
running out of toner is a bad thing for oily skinned girls especially in the summers. so i got this one as an impulse buy. the glow face pack is supposed to have lifting and anti blemish properties so its for both, mum and me.

kryolan blush in shade t1

guess what i found? i found KRYOLAN at beauty palace .this is a fantastic peachy coral blush suitable for a myriad tones from the brand that makes inexpensive , excellent quality makeup better than several high end brands

richfeel under gel
this one's for mom. she has been using it for years and loves it . i find it comparable to aroma magic under eye gel

maybelline color bloom lipbalm in peach bloom and clearglow all in one compact
i love the colorbloom lipbalms by maybelline. they are fun and give a cute tint . i had the pink bloom so decided to try this one.
maybelline whitestay uv compact is a cult favorite . i love it too. clearglow has been making waves and the s.a told me that this can be used both wet and dry. plus the price too wasn't a bummer.

Aroma Shop pure tea tree oil
i recently read about the benefits of tea tree oil and as i was passing through the aisles this cute apothecary style display of essential oils caught my eye . i couldn't resist and bought this.

cool and cool refreshing wipes
hot summers and wet wipes .... indispensable
