peeps kindly stand up and bow down to greatest eyeshadow formula ever ( according to poor old cheap me )-

i m cheap . ya that's what i m . spending close to 500 inr on a single eyeshadow that's just not me .
but i did it . as the infallible range launched internationally , i have been lemming it since then.
and finally , India gets to see these beauties in their full glory.
birthdays are meant for splurging and with abandon, i splurged!
l'oreal is a brand that has not disappointed me to this date .and this eyeshadow just raises expectations !
price- 450 INR ie 9 USD
net.wt- 3.5 g i.e 0.12oz
so it comes to 128 inr per gram
much more value for money considering several higher end brands just act unfair in India and hike their rates like hell ( m.a.c , clinique i m looking at you )

that's close to 2 yrs of shelf life. enough for me to finish the product considerably.
so lets take a look at the product itself
WHAT L'OREAL CLAIMS :-

THE PACKAGING:-
its a standard loose pigment packaging . a jar filled to the brim with the pigment and has a conserver ( ya that black cap like thingie) to keep the eyeshadow from moving around in the jar and creating a general mess.the silver cap is shiny and is brown to make colour location easier. it has a bit sparkle in it as you can see giving an idea of the finish of the eyeshadow.
its sturdy enough to be thrown in the bag and travelled with but not thrown off a height. the mess will be unbearable and uncleanable . trust me on that one. please don't touch surfaces or put the eyshadow on surfaces as it is very difficult to remove ( my walls and makeup table are witness to that .. good ole klutzy me to be blamed). i did get yelled for it later . did you see something ...? that's me going off track and blabbering in general . so coming to the review .......
TEXTURE:-
well , the texture is smooth almost buttery and so very dense and packed . no grittiness to it at all . if a loose pigment married a cream eyeshadow and they had a kid . u get me don't you ? i know its hard to explain its something whose glory has to be experienced in reality. they describe it as a hybrid ,well it is a hybrid .it does not stir up a mountain of dust though on using and opening like some powder eyeshadows do . that's a good part about it .

THE SHADE:-
its a beautiful deep brown with soft shimmery almost satiny finish to it. it has an intense complexity, it reflects off different colours in different lights. in order to do justice to the shade i took as many ( decent ) pics as possible , partly the reason why this post is pic heavy . the other part of the reason is that i am absolutely in love with this shadow. i chose a normal mundane neutral brown instead of a popping , bright colour because for the cost i wanted to justify my purchase by using it regularly rather than using it just once and it sitting rest of the time in some far corner of my closet .

STAYING POWER :-
it stayed on my hand when i put it for swatching at 10 a.m till almost i took shower the next day . i still could see some signs of it even after that . i haven't worn it on my eyes for full 24 hrs coz i don't sleep with my makeup on ever . on my super oily multiple hooded lids it stays on for about 10 hrs which is more than enough to make me die and go to heaven .

APPLICATION:-
the s.a told me to apply it with finger for best results . its good for a sheer wash but not for building up as it causes fall out. a flat basic , dense eyeshadow brush is the best for padding the color on the lid for desired intensity . it doesn't need to be set with a powder eyeshadow as it doesn't crease . but acts as a primer for other colours keeping oil and creasing at bay for hours together , even on a hot humid day . its is waterproof and water resistant . it will stay put until you decide to take it off with a good bi phase makeup remover .( i use lakme 9 to 5 makeup remover for this ) . application and blending is a dream . however you need to be quick as it sets within 30 sec or so .

that's it folks .i will recommend it to anyone and everyone. an excellent bang for your buck product ever . i m surely going to buy more shades as soon as i save up and my purge ends.
